MBCC's Patient Assistance Fund 2025 Update

Minnesota Breast Cancer Coalition’s Patient Assistance Fund’s 2025 disbursements have surpassed those of 2024.

From January 1, 2025 through November 7, 2025, MBCC’s Patient Assistance Fund has disbursed $23,022.34 to help breast cancer patients with non-medical needs. The Fund helps breast cancer patients being treated at M Health Fairview Hospitals and Clinics.

The Fund helps breast cancer patients with non-medical expenses such as rent/housing; utilities; childcare; transportation/parking expenses; and food/gasoline gift cards. M Health Fairview social workers and patient assistance specialists identify those in need of help and then administer the funds as needed.

In 2024 the MBCC Patient Assistance Fund disbursed $18,274.14. In just the first 10 months of 2025, the Fund has disbursed $23,022.34. Clearly the need is increasing.

The Fund could not exist without support from individuals, businesses, and community groups. Thank you Hero Home Services; Grand Casino Hinckley; Craft & Crew Hospitality; Macy’s Southdale; Chamfr; Minnesota Youth Athletic Services; the College of St. Benedict’s Swim & Dive Team; Gina Paar Designs; Midwest Charity Trials; Wood + Paddle Eatery; Nico’s; Micro-Trak; and our many individual donors.

All of our donors help ease the stress of breast cancer patients who are in active treatment.

Thank you for supporting MBCC’s Patient Assistance Fund.
